SUBMISSION GUIdeLINES
We are quite excited to have your works displayed!
The Hope of Young Artists (HOYA) Magazine reaches out to young artists and writers ages 14 and above and provides a platform for their works of art and writing.
Deadline: All submissions must be in by December 20th.
We will accept:
Short Story — [up to 4 pieces; MLA formatted; maximum of 2000 words]
Poetry - [up to 5 poems]
Visual Art — [up to 8 pieces of any genre]
Written Works
The formatting of the submissions needs to be a Word file saved in the name as the title of the work. The formatting of the file name needs to be “First Name Last Name_Title_1” and so on for the other pieces.

Visual Art
The formatting of the submissions needs to be in JPG or PNG format saved in the image file name as the title that will be used to display the piece. The formatting of the file name needs to be “First Name Last Name_Title_1” and so on for the other pieces.
Provide the description explaining the message of the piece.

All submissions have to be followed up by the introductory cover letter, a brief bio with approximately 150 words, in third person perspective.
In addition, provide the profile picture for the bio.

This Winter Issue will be about the blooming global issues that have been taking place. Through the pieces, the artist or writer could show awareness of these problems or express their own message which could be either positive or negative.
