ABOUT US
The HOYA Magazine was co-founded in November 2017, by Editor-in-Chief Sarah Yun, and Co-Editors Amy Yu, Yoonji Kim, and Jinyoung Kim. It is a biannual literary art magazine. Which releases publications every spring and autumn. The HOYA Magazine, Hope of Young Artists, reaches out for both young writers as well as young artists to feature not only their talent but their voice in their works of art. The magazine inquires the young artists about their take on the global issue either it be to raise awareness or to express their own stance on them. EDITORS' NOTE:
The HOYA Magazine is open to all students in High School and above. It is a place where young creators can freely express and warn others about issues that they believe should be addressed. This is our first issue and we couldn’t wait to find out what our young artists and writers were concerned about in 2018. For the Spring Edition of 2018, we decided to set the theme very broad, “Global Issues”. When we received the pieces from our young artists and writers we saw two main themes come up: environmental issues and humanitarian issues. We are very pleased to be able to share their strong and powerful stance with the world.
